A heartfelt thank you to Elephant Storage Centre!

As we pack away event materials and begin pulling out our Christmas decorations, we’re incredibly grateful for the complimentary storage space provided by Elephant Storage Centre. Having a safe, reliable place to rotate our seasonal items makes such a difference for our team and helps us stay organized as we prepare for the holiday season.

Little Things Make a BIG Difference at Hospice

Did you know that even everyday household items can make a meaningful difference at North Okanagan Hospice Society? As a non-profit organization, we rely on the kindness and generosity of our community to help make our Hospice House feel like home.

Our NOHS Wish List includes simple everyday essentials like Kleenex, flour, sugar, baking supplies and other household and kitchen items.

From a freshly baked cookie shared with a family to a box of tissues offered during a difficult moment, these small comforts mean so much. 💙Every donation, big or small, helps us care for the people who walk through our doors.

If you're out shopping and can pick up an extra item or two, we'd be incredibly grateful!

Happy Thanksgiving from North Okanagan Hospice Society!

This Thanksgiving, our hearts are full of gratitude.

We are especially thankful for our incredible staff, volunteers, donors and community partners who help make our house feel like a home every single day. An extra special thank you to our kitchen team for spending extra time and love in preparing a Ham Dinner for all families in our care. We appreciate you all!

To the families spending Thanksgiving with us, and to those remembering loved ones around their tables, we hold you close in our hearts.

This Thanksgiving, we’re reminded that sometimes it’s not just the meal we remember, it’s who was sitting around the table.

At North Okanagan Hospice, meals are about so much more than food. They’re about gathering, sharing stories, keeping traditions alive, and creating moments of connection.

Throughout the holidays, we make meals at the Hospice House for our residents, their families, our staff and our volunteers. Sometimes it’s a treasured family tradition, and sometimes it may be one of the last holiday meals shared with someone you love. Those moments matter deeply.

And we’re able to make them happen because of our incredibly generous community. Your support helps us put food on the table, create a warm and welcoming home, and make space for families to simply be together.

This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for every person who helps make those moments possible.

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day | October 10, 2026

Hospice care is about living, loving and finding comfort in every moment.

Today, we recognize the importance of compassionate hospice and palliative care and the incredible people who make it possible.

At North Okanagan Hospice Society, care goes beyond our 12 beds. It is found in the warmth of a home-cooked meal, a peaceful garden, a hand held during a difficult moment, and the support offered to families navigating grief and loss.

It's about dignity, comfort, connection and ensuring no one walks this journey alone.

To our dedicated staff, physicians, volunteers, donors and community partners, thank you for helping us create a place where compassion lives every day.

Because every moment matters. Every family matters. And everyone deserves compassionate care. 💙
