In partnership with Embassies and High Commissions from Ottawa's diplomatic community, the Y is bringing you a showcase of global cuisines. Talented chefs from around the world will gather to share authentic dishes in the spirit of friendly competition.

A Place to Belong: Community Open House 🏠❤️

On Wednesday, February 4, we were pleased to welcome community leaders, partners, and supporters to the Taggart Family Y.

We were honoured to hear opening remarks from Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, whose ongoing support highlights the essential role organizations like the Y play in strengthening community well-being.

As part of YMCA Canada’s National Speaking Tour, Peter Dinsdale, President and CEO of YMCA Canada, shared reflections on the partnerships, milestones, and shared efforts that help remove barriers and unlock potential nationwide.

We were moved by the stories of impact shared throughout the evening, including highlights from Skilled Trades, Child Care, and Housing programs. A huge thank you to Catia and Gabriel for sharing their personal experiences with YMCA programs, and to Richard and Linda for their thoughtful reflections as dedicated supporters.

Events like this remind us that when people come together with purpose and care, our communities become stronger, more connected, and full of possibility. Thank you to everyone who participated and made the evening so meaningful.
