Some of our Meadow Art from Canada Tree Day from a 3yr old to adults, from bare beginning of awareness of nature to full fledged appreciation of green space! Be sure to visit next year at Canada Tree Day in September. Make the time to escape into nature. In case you didn't know, Green relaxes your eyes because it is in the middle of the colour spectrum. So give your eyes a rest, come to Moores' Meadow Park.

One of us, a smart one (Jenn), suggested we could pose 3 questions to each candidate in the upcoming municipal election, and post their answers to this page. We, the Ginters Green Team, agreed. Note: Given James Steidle is running in this election, he is NOT participating in this exercise, except as a candidate (to answer the questions himself as each candidate will hopefully do). What 3 questions, focussed on topics you see related to the work of the Ginters Green Forever community, would you like us to ask?
We will use (with editorial license) 3 great questions posed here by this online (and IRL) community. Claim your power! Drop us a question (or more!)... and go vote on election day :)

Rarely seen in Moore's Meadow park, and only in the shadows. This is something to savour if you happen to see it as you walk and treat with respect. Indian pipe (Monotropa uniflora), also known as ghost pipe, is a rare, non-photosynthetic woodland plant traditionally used in herbal medicine for severe pain relief and nervous system support. Treat it with the respect it deserves.

Seen around town, in Moores' Meadow and Ginters Green. It's wonderful😊 to see our green spaces become part of wildlife research. The measure of our wildlife determines our health in the future. Please support this research and walk the green outdoors while this golden fall weather is here!

Moore's Meadow has an unique combination of wild critters! Take a walk here this weekend to see what you can find! The leaves are just beginning to change. It should be colour beautiful by Sept 26, when we host Canada Tree Day.
