All readers on facebook: PLEASE KNOW THAT today and Monday til noon is your last chance to let the city know how you feel about this Zoning Amendment. Removing ALL PRESENTLY AG AND AF GREEN SPACES IN THE CITY is a sweeping move to place the city under SSMUH, which requires Administration to have FULL CONTROL OVER ALL SUCH SPACE IN THE CITY, in order to meet SSMUH REQUIREMENTS - city must prezone everywhere they may want to develop in the future - reducing our health and recreation needs. Once prezoned, there will not be any publicly required input on where, when or how this happens. The question is DO WE WANT TO BE LIKE INNER CITY VANCOUVER. Good alternatives exist, let's find them.

Thank you everyone who supported us in July to support the AF to P1 addition to Moore's Meadow Park. We are very happy with Council's approval of this. We are again asking for your support - this time with Administrations Zoning Bylaw Amendment request.
Administration seeks to remove existing protection for AF and AG zoned land city-wide. If this amendment is successful it will remove existing protection of our AF/AG zones. Removal of this protection will place our presumed greenspace under the umbrella of housing. This violates the public OCP values that recognize that greenspace is a priority in PG. We do this for all population segments in PG, but especially for those too young to know what they will miss and for their future world.
Please send your letters/emails to [email protected] with a cc to [email protected] OR drop it off in person to the 5th floor.

Summer season berries in Moore's Meadow Park. Natures foodbox rests in abundance along the trails for all the creatures that live here, as well as ourselves. Welcome to taste but be sure you know what you are eating. (A good book on edible berries will tell you what you need to know). Today, young members of the BC Nature Kids enjoyed learning about trees, leaves, mushrooms and berries found in the park.

On smoky days like today, we have trees, with leaves and bark to capture tiny its of soot, ash, and dust so that they stay out of our lungs. Thanks to the trees in our parks and extended green forests for keeping us in good health.

Always new life to find in Moore's Meadow park!!
A great THANK YOU to each person who enriched the presentation to city council last night with their emails, letters and well-wishes. The AF designation has now been changed to P1. We celebrate for all the people who value the park and extended trails, and for the ensured safety for wildlife. Thank you and enjoy our beautiful park.

Thank you for your support, It is greatly appreciated!
