Job Posting: Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) – 18 Month Maternity Leave Contract April 2026 onward
Qualifications
• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
• Knowledge of CCEYA, How Does Learning Happen?, and best practices in early learning
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills
• Current Standard First Aid & CPR C certification
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
• Up to date immunization record as required by local Public Health
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and implement play based, developmentally appropriate programs
• Build warm, responsive relationships with children and families
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Observe, document, and assess children’s learning and development
• Collaborate with team members to support high quality programming
• Ensure compliance with CCEYA, Public Health guidelines, and centre policies
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and centre initiatives
• Support children’s self regulation, independence, and well being
• Maintain accurate daily records, incident reports, and documentation
