Shout out to our 2026 champions! 🏆⛳

A huge congratulations to Colin Carvery, our Overall Champion at the 52nd Annual Apex Invitational Golf Tournament.

Representing Grandview Golf & Country Club, Colin entered Day 2 with the lead after an outstanding opening round (E) and held on to capture his first Apex title. He’s been in contention before, so this is a well-earned milestone. Congratulations, Colin!

Congratulations as well to Belinda Bennicke, our Women’s Champion.

A Truro (Island) native, Belinda battled back from a tie for third after Day 1 to claim another Apex title. A familiar face in the winner’s circle, Belinda has now captured the Ladies Championship more than a dozen times, with her first victory dating back to 1985. An incredible achievement and a testament to decades of excellence.

We’d also like to recognize our 9-Hole Champions: Donald Paris, who claimed the Men’s 9-Hole title, and Heather Maxwell, who earned top honours in the Women’s 9-Hole division.

Congratulations again to all of our champions, and thank you to all of this year’s golfers and supporters for making the 52nd Annual Apex Invitational another memorable weekend.

The Kimber Lee Paris Memorial Karaoke is back this year, at a new venue: Belly Up BBQ & Grill.

Proceeds go to support the Community Enhancement Association’s Community Fund.

Join us next weekend for two great nights of music, dancing, and catching up with friends during Apex.

Only two weeks to go until Apex 2026! ⛳️

Whether you’re golfing, cheering someone on, hitting the dance floor, or battling it out in dominoes, there’s something for everyone.

We're just one month away from Apex 2026! ⛳️

The countdown is on for the 52nd Annual Apex Invitational Golf Tournament, and we can't wait to welcome golfers, families, friends, and supporters back to Truro for another Apex weekend.

Stay tuned over the coming days and weeks as we share more about this year's tournament, including the weekend schedule, special events, contests, and everything else you can look forward to.

For more than five decades, Apex has been more than a golf tournament. It's a celebration of community, connection, and creating opportunities. It’s a tradition that brings people together across generations while investing in the future through scholarships for Black students from Colchester County.

We're proud to continue building this legacy together. We look forward to seeing you August 7–8!

The winner of the Screen Nova Scotia Best Documentary award goes to "Apex: The Black Masters" by A+B Roll Films.

"Apex: The Black Masters" is a documentary that traces the 50-year story of the Apex Invitational Golf Tournament in Truro, Nova Scotia. Showing how it grew from a small 1974 meetup of Black golfers into a major, inclusive homecoming that honours African Nova Scotian culture.
