"Mother, please give me some soap. My soap finished three days ago. Give me a white Panjabi, the previous one is torn. They give chickpeas and puffed rice for Iftar, but they don’t give rice at night; they only give it for Suhoor. Please bring some food for me—good food. And give me a mosquito net and a bedsheet; the mosquitoes bite."
— Tahsin Abdullah
A Small Request, A Heavy Heart
This message was written by a young orphan child named Tahsin Abdullah, a madrasa student, in a letter to his mother. In his simple words, he talks about finishing his soap, wearing a torn shirt, eating simple meals at iftar, and wishing—just wishing—to eat something good.
For many of us, these are things we never have to think about. But for many children, these small necessities are dreams.
At Raise Hands for Hope, our mission is to bring smiles, dignity, and hope to children like Tahsin. This Ramadan and Eid, we are working to provide educational supplies, new clothes, and warm meals so that no child feels forgotten.
A small act of kindness can change a child’s day, their confidence, and sometimes even their future.
Let’s raise our hands together—for hope, for compassion, and for the children who deserve a brighter tomorrow. ❤️
