Bladder Cancer Canada Awareness - Toronto

Bladder Cancer Canada Awareness - Toronto Committed to serving patients and their families, raising ongoing local awareness and delivering the annual September walk for Bladder Cancer Canada.

Bladder cancer is the 5th most common cancer in Canada – with 12,000 new cases this year alone. Yet, most Canadians are not even aware of bladder cancer. Bladder Cancer Canada is a nationally-registered Canadian charity (Charitable Reg. #836126060 RR0001). Our mission is to:

• Help bladder cancer patients and their support teams address the day-to-day issues of this disease
• Increase awareness of bladder cancer among the general public and medical community
• Fund research which pursues the diagnosis, treatment and elimination of bladder cancer

Local patients, caregivers and the community are invited to 'Like' this local patient support group page to connect and receive notifications of local bladder cancer meetings, news and events.

BCC’s communications team Tawny and Shirley (with Tawny’s sister Sandra) took on downtown Toronto today as “Team Toronto” in Canada Walks for Bladder Canada.

Lots of awareness was created for the 5th most common cancer in Canada as people stopped to talk to the “beautiful birds” in the Village, Dundas Square and Yorkville.

Wishing Team Jane Brown good luck today as they head out for their bladder cancer awareness walk in memory of Jane’s mom Sandy, who lost her life to bladder cancer. Jane has been a big supporter of BCC through her work with ZoomerRadio and we are so grateful for her efforts.

You can still donate to Jane’s walk or to the walk itself at www.bccwalk.ca! 💛
