Tomorrow, August 19 from 3:00–6:00 PM at the Rexdale Community Hub (21 Panorama Court) for our annual Back to School Community Event.

Families can enjoy free food, children’s activities, community resources, giveaways, and free backpacks and school supplies while supplies last. 📚🎨🍎

This event brings together local organizations and community partners to help families connect with resources while getting ready for the new school year.

Access to clear, reliable information is an important part of settling into a new community.

Our Settlement Team recently hosted a Housing Support Workshop to help newcomers better understand Ontario's housing system, tenant rights and responsibilities, and the resources available to support them as they search for housing.

Recognizing that language should never be a barrier to accessing important information, the session was delivered in English with interpretation provided in Somali, Dari, and Farsi, allowing participants to ask questions and engage in the discussion in the language they feel most comfortable using.

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of multilingual information workshops designed to help newcomers navigate life in Canada and connect with the services they need.

Creativity and sustainability came together at our Youth Department Summer Camp through a collaboration with the Community Reduce & Reuse Program!

A big thank you to Repair Hub Café member Paul, who amazed the children with a dancing drawing robot made from reusable materials. 🤖✨ His creativity showed that everyday objects can be transformed into something fun, inspiring, and full of possibility.

Through this hands-on activity, campers learned that repairing, reusing, and reimagining materials can make a real difference for our environment—while having lots of fun along the way!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible. Together, we’re inspiring the next generation to think creatively and care for our planet.

We’re hiring!

Rexdale Women’s Centre is looking for an Employment Intake Worker who will serve as the first point of contact for clients accessing
employment services. The successful candidate will conduct client intakes, assess needs and eligibility, provide information about available programs, and connect individuals to appropriate employment and community resources.

Key responsibilities include client intake and assessment, client support and referrals, documentation, reporting and data management, community engagement, and administrative duties.

A great summer camp is about more than activities—it's about creating a place where children feel welcomed, supported, and inspired to grow.

This summer, Rexdale Women's Centre's Youth and Community Reduce and Reuse programs came together to give local children a summer filled with creativity, friendship, and unforgettable experiences. We're grateful to everyone who helps make opportunities like this possible for families in our community.
