On May 14, LIGHTS Toronto is proud to stand alongside the Moose Hide Campaign, a national, Indigenous-led movement committed to ending violence against women and children.

At LIGHTS, we believe in building a city where everyone feels safe, valued, included, and connected. Supporting Indigenous-led initiatives like the Moose Hide Campaign is an important part of creating stronger communities rooted in respect, equity, and human rights.

We encourage our community to take part by learning more about the campaign, attending Campaign Day at Queen’s Park or tuning into the live stream, wearing a Moose Hide Campaign pin, or sharing a photo to help raise awareness and spark meaningful conversations.

A few months ago, some of our LIGHTS Leaders had a blast at Community Rocks — Community Living Toronto’s major fundraising event.

It was an amazing night celebrating inclusion, community, and possibility. We were proud to be there, especially knowing that a portion of the funds raised support LIGHTS families directly.

We are already looking forward to !

Created in memory of 15-year-old Rowan Nobbs, the Rowan Fund supports families of people with intellectual disabilities who face financial barriers to independent living💛

Through LIGHTS, the fund provides up to $25,000 in support to help cover the start-up costs of moving into a safe, stable home- including rent, utilities, caregiver support, and more.

Rowan’s legacy lives on through the opportunities this fund creates for others. Your donation ensures that more people with intellectual disabilities can achieve a sense of independence and dignity, living in communities where they are valued and supported.
