It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Harrison, a cherished teammate of the London Electric Knights. Scott proudly represented the London national team from 2005 to 2011. Despite battling a rare, degenerative disability that caused him immense pain and eventually forced him to step away from the game we all love, Scott remained a phenomenal athlete whose determination was his greatest asset. He will be deeply missed by the London division of the CEWHA and all who had the honor of playing alongside him.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Crystal McGregor.

Over her 19-year CPHL career, Crystal finished the 2025–26 season with the highest championship-winning percentage among active players, having won nine times.

Crystal will be greatly missed for her teasing and playful banter. She became a reliable option on defence and in net, meeting the challenge of whatever role her team needed her to fill.

Her consistency and playful spirit will be deeply missed in the gym.

Good evening sports fans! Last week I was speaking to a player in Canada who had complained about their joystick always falling off. I know this is a problem that many have faced over the years. I am going to be submitting a request to a machine shop that I have used to do a number of projects for me over the years. Depending upon your need, I will get custom joysticks built for players from our member cities. The new joysticks will be made from aluminum and have a small screw that is tightened against the pin under your current joystick. If you don't have problems with your joystick popping off but you do have problems with keeping your hand on the joystick. I have some specialty joysticks for players with these challenges. This is not a money making thing. I have special funding in place to purchase the materials and cover the labour. There might be a small charge for shipping but I will try to cover that as well. If this is something that may interest you, please comment on this post and I will be in touch with you in the coming weeks.
