Every plate filled is a step towards one less person hungry.

Our organization Burningbliss has postponed our interior painting homes since December. Food was the top request for help. Food banks are struggling, food is expensive and people are in more need than ever.

Thank you to our community who attended our winter event, because of you many families have received help with food.

Please if you're in need reach out to this fabulous not for profit Chef Jagger Gordon and his team are phenomenal.

You can also reach out to : 211, Vincent De Paul (they'll deliver), Gerstein Center and I'm sure there's more. Good people are out there you just have to look for them.

For us. We'll be returning to interior painting as we have some families waiting for us.

Indigenous women in Canada face a range of health and social issues including domestic violence. They are six times more likely to be killed than non-Aboriginal women.

First Nation's women who want to leave a violent situation have limited access to helping services, as most are located in large cities and towns, far from remote reserves where many of the women live.

Happy International Women's Day. Here's to the women who paved the way and to the women of today. I especially want to give a shout out to the women who have allowed us into their lives and homes. I've seen some of the most courageous and determined women over the years. I hope you all continue to rise.

In unity survivors, artists and our community annually fulfill Christmas Wishlists of some very special kids. Each child received gifts they asked Santa for. This was our 11th year and we're looking forward to celebrating our 12th!
