The Canadian Federation of University Women (North Toronto) invites you to join us
at our general meeting on October 14th, 2025, at Glenview Presbyterian Church (1
Glenview Avenue) at 7:15pm.

Our speaker is Bonnie Sitter, a writer and photographer. Her topic is “Onion Skins and
Peach Fuzz: Memories of Ontario’s Farmerettes”. A fourth-generation member of the
Hogarth family in Huron County, Bonnie traces her roots back to her great-grandfather
Septimus Hogarth, who settled in Stephen Township in 1849. After spending twenty years
in Deep River, she returned to her hometown of Exeter. Following a forty-year career in the

and Peach Fuzz: Memories of Ontario’s Farmerettes. This book highlights the
experiences of young women who earned course credits while working on local farms
