Supporting Our Youth

Supporting Our Youth Supporting Our Youth (SOY) is a community development program designed to improve the lives of 2SLGBTQ+ youth in Toronto.

Supporting Our Youth (SOY) is an exciting, dynamic community development program designed to improve the lives of le***an, gay, bisexual, tr*******al and transgendered youth in Toronto through the active involvement of youth and adult communities. We work to create healthy arts, culture and recreational spaces for young people; to provide supportive housing and employment opportunities; and to increase youth access to adult mentoring and support. SOY is a program of Sherbourne Health Centre.

At last week's SOY JOY session, we made sushi and onigiri 🍙

In our SOY JOY sessions, we like to focus on food security topics and find more ways to connect with food and learn new skills that can be replicated at home. Youth express learning more about food cooking skills and establish relationships with food. The sessions provide you with the opportunity to not only explore different cost-effective recipe ideas, but also get to create a meal or snack to take home.

Stop by at our next SOY JOY session! 😊 To sign up, visit bit.ly/SOYDROPIN
