As Kurdish professionals living and working in Canada, we carry two homes in our hearts. One is the country that gave us opportunity, safety, and the freedom to build our careers. The other is Kurdistan, the land that shaped our language, memory, and identity.
Today our thoughts are with our people in East Kurdistan (Rojhelat) and South Kurdistan (Bashur). We follow the events there closely. Every family, every student, every worker who faces uncertainty or hardship remains part of the same national story that connects Kurds everywhere.
Distance does not weaken that connection. If anything, it deepens responsibility. Those of us in the diaspora have a duty to speak with clarity, to support human dignity, and to stand with our communities when they face pressure or injustice.
Our solidarity is not limited to one region, one political group, or one country. Kurdistan has many parts and many voices. What unites us is stronger than what divides us. From Rojhelat to Bashur, from Rojava to Bakur, and across the global Kurdish diaspora, our shared identity carries the same hope for peace, stability, and a future where Kurdish people can live with dignity and self determination.
We also believe in building bridges with the societies we live in. As Kurdish professionals in Canada, we contribute to science, engineering, education, medicine, and public service. At the same time we remain deeply connected to our roots and to the future of our people.
To all Kurds everywhere, whether at home or in the diaspora, our message is simple. Stay united. Support one another. Protect our culture, language, and history. And continue working toward a future where every Kurdish child can grow up with security, opportunity, and pride in who they are.
