Today, as we celebrate Labor Day, let’s remember what this day is truly about. It’s a day for rest, a time to honor our hard work by stepping back and recharging. Too often, we see rest as a pause from our labor, but as the quote says, “Rest is not a pause from labor. Rest is part of the labor.”

I recently chose to take a three-week break, and during that time, my notifications piled up and my engagement numbers dropped. But that was okay because I was choosing myself. And so many of us struggle to do that.

So hear me clearly:
* Rest is labor.
* Boundaries are labor.
* Choosing yourself is labor.

To every woman working double shifts, raising children, building a business, or carrying grief: YOU ARE SEEN. And to every woman resting, YOU ARE ALSO SEEN. Both are powerful. Both are necessary.

Bloomers, let’s normalize rest as an essential part of our work. How are you honoring yourself this Labor Day?
