Residents came together last week for a community town hall to share feedback, raise concerns, exchange ideas and talk about what matters to them. Our team joined them to hear what’s working, understand where there’s room to improve, and work together on what comes next.

With 36 rent-geared-to-income, pet-friendly homes, Maynard is a space where residents can access support, connect with their neighbours and have a voice in shaping the community they call home 💙

New data from Ontario’s Financial Accountability Office confirms what frontline organizations have been seeing for years: homelessness is rising, and provincial support is projected to shrink just as it’s needed most.

We were so happy to welcome C3 Assembly to our 69 Fraser respite site for a community BBQ as part of their Love This City initiative. 🫶

For us, community is built through moments like these. It’s about showing up, sharing what we have, getting to know one another, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.

A huge thank you to C3 Assembly for spending the afternoon with our community and for helping make 69 Fraser a little more lively, connected, and full of joy. We’re grateful for the time, energy, and care they brought to the day.

Thank you for choosing to Love This City by showing up for the people who call it home. ❤️

Last week, St. Felix Centre came together for our Cultural Day Celebration, an afternoon dedicated to connection, learning, and celebrating the diversity within our community.🌎

Guests and staff shared traditions and stories from their cultures, enjoyed food from a variety of backgrounds, and came together through cultural music and dance.

Building an inclusive community starts with creating space for people to share who they are, learn from one another, and connect through shared experiences.💙

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the people we’ve lost, hold space for those who are grieving, and stand with everyone whose lives have been touched by overdose.

Overdose is preventable. Compassion, connection, harm reduction, and access to support can save lives. But no one should have to face these challenges alone.

Today, we remember. We listen. We care. And we keep working toward a future where fewer families have to experience the pain of losing someone they love.

Turning 30 usually means a party. Our friend Allie Zheng turned it into a purpose.

For her milestone birthday, Allie chose to give back. She performed an intimate evening of powerful ballads and donating 100% of ticket proceeds to St. Felix Centre.

We're so grateful to Allie for using her voice (literally!) for good, and to everyone who came out to support the cause and celebrate Allie. Nights like this remind us what community can do when we show up for each other.

Huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Parkdale High Park Humber for their generous $3,000 donation!

The Club has been a steadfast supporter of St. Felix Centre for years, and gifts like this make a real difference — helping us provide meals, shelter support, and essential services to people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity across Toronto.

We're so grateful for community partners who show up for our neighbours, year after year. Thank you for believing in this work.

Meet Chocolate🐾

From afternoon naps to endless cuddles, Chocolate has been a steady source of comfort and companionship for Iris since she was just a few months old. Her gentle personality is a reminder of how much pets can bring to our lives. Not just joy, but routine, connection, and a sense of home.

When Chocolate needed veterinary care, including wellness checkups and support for food sensitivities, St. Felix Centre's PAWS program helped make that care possible. Access to veterinary services can make all the difference, helping people experiencing homelessness keep the companions they love healthy and by their side.

Because no one should have to choose between their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of their best friend. 🧡

Behind every great community initiative is someone with a vision. And for this year’s FIFA Experience, that was Israel. 💙

Inspired by the power of football to bring people together, Israel led an initiative that transformed World Cup matchdays into opportunities for connection, cultural exchange, and community.

In this video, Israel reflects on the inspiration behind the FIFA Experience, the moments that stood out most, and why creating opportunities like this matters.

Thank you, Israel, for bringing your creativity, leadership, and passion to an experience our guests won’t soon forget. ⚽

Football has a special way of bringing people together, no matter where they're from.

Throughout the FIFA Experience, guests gathered to watch World Cup matches, celebrate the teams they supported, and enjoy the tournament alongside one another.

The shared excitement, friendly competition, and conversations that happened between kickoffs helped create a welcoming atmosphere and strengthened the sense of community within the shelter.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the FIFA Experience a memorable part of this year's World Cup. ⚽💙
