We need to raise $500 by June 14 for Manda’s heartworm treatment. This treatment is the first step toward helping her find the loving forever home she deserves.

Manda was recently returned to the Bahamas Humane Society after spending two years in what she thought was her forever home. The transition back to shelter life was difficult, and she became depressed and anxious. Thankfully, wonderful foster families stepped in and gave her the love, stability, and care she needed. Today, Manda is thriving once again.

Now we want to give her the fresh start she deserves. Becoming heartworm-negative is essential for her adoption journey and will help open the door to a forever family. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings Manda one step closer to a happy ending.

Happy Sunday! 🐱 Meet the newest family in our care.

This mama and her four babies were found in someone’s yard … and what a devoted mama she is! She did everything to protect her little ones, and now it’s our turn to take care of them all. ❤️

A huge thank you to The Bahamas Feline Foster Group for finding them a loving foster home. We can’t wait to help them find their forever families! 🏡🐾

𝟒𝟎 𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬. 𝟏𝟕 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞.

Special needs. Neonatal. Sick. Abandoned. Orphaned. Each one arriving with nothing but the hope that we’d say yes.

Pictured here are 11 of them — found in a box, left on the side of the road. Left to suffer. Left to die. Someone made that choice. 💔 😡

We made a different one. (So did Mr Sands who went out of his way to bring this pups to safety 🙏 👏).

But behind every rescue is a mountain of costs … emergency vetting, vaccines, spay/neuter. Then overseas transport to find them homes when local placements aren’t enough. Thousands of dollars, multiplied by 40 precious lives.

We have served this community for 101 years. We have never been this close to the edge.

We are exhausted. We are heartbroken. And we are genuinely scared about what the future holds if significant help doesn’t come soon.

We need our community now — in two ways.

🐾 An update on our sweet Audrey 💕💔

Firstly, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated toward her cardiology testing. Because of your generosity, we now have answers.

Audrey, our precious 8-month-old rescue, has been diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) - a congenital heart defect that requires specialized surgical correction.

Without surgery, Audrey may not make it past her first birthday. 💔 But we are NOT giving up on her.

Behind the scenes, a group of incredible women are working hard to put together a plan to save her life. This surgery is highly specialized and will need to be performed in Canada… so the stakes are high, and so is our determination.

But right now, one of the most important things we can do for Audrey is get her out of the shelter and into a calm, loving foster home here on island. 🏡 A stress-free environment is so important for her little heart while we finalize our plan. If you or someone you know can open their home to this special girl, please reach out to us immediately.

We’re not ready to launch the full campaign just yet but when we do, we’ll need every single one of you. 🙌

Stay tuned. Audrey’s fight is just beginning, and together, we WILL get her there. 🐶❤️

🍇 An update on little Grape! 🐶

Grape was hit by a car and needed surgery.

Grape is stable and comfortable, thanks to pain medication and round-the-clock care. 💊💕 She’s recovering from a broken pelvis and has pin in her front leg from surgery, so she’s on strict cage rest…but her spirits are sweet as ever.

What Grape needs most right now is a peaceful foster home: soft blankets, gentle cuddles, and a quiet space to heal. 🏡

If you can open your heart and home to this special girl, please get in touch. She needs you. 🐾🍇
