Thank you ❤️ to everyone who supported the Rotary Toronto Sunrise Stompers in the Coldest Night of the Year in support of the Fort York Food Bank!

As you’ll see from photos, Stompin’ Teddy had a great time cheering 📣 on chilly 🥶 walkers, thanking the route volunteers, serving coffee with the fabulous Starbucks team, and chilling 😎 with the dedicated Toronto firefighters 🚒.

Didn’t donate? It’s not too late to help the FYFB using the link in the comments.

Tonight's the Night! We're walking in the Coldest Night of the Year in support of the Fort York Food Bank! Please consider making a donation using the link below. We know first-hand how well your money will be used and just how great the need is.

Together we can make a real difference in the lives of hungry neighbours, friends, newcomers, and people we have never met.

Taking Action is what we do as members of Rotary International.

We welcome you to join us!

The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s change the tune for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there.

On Sunday morning, February 8, at the Fort York Food Bank in downtown Toronto, the Rotary Club of Toronto Sunrise and Friends prepared over 100 hot and nutritious meals for our homeless and marginally housed neighbors and friends - on an especially cold day in the City. And as you will see from our pictures, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed each other's company while doing this :)

Part of the fun is that we never know when we arrive what food we will have - and a big thanks to all our food donors! - so we plan menus on the spot. Today we were able to offer hot roast chicken, hot pasta with fresh veggies and tomato sauce, and salad.
A big thanks to everyone who came and helped - we couldn't do this without you!

The Rotary Club of Toronto Sunrise leads this on the second Sunday morning of every month at the Fort York Food Bank. We work from 9:00am - 1:00pm. We would love to have you join us, for any part of that time you can contribute - please contact Mary Lou at [email protected] or Bruce at [email protected] if you're interested - thanks! The Fort York Food Bank is at 380 College Street, at Borden, near Kensington Market. There is a TTC streetcar stop at Borden, and there is free street parking (yes, in downtown Toronto!) on College Street until 1:00pm on Sundays.

On Sunday, December 14, 12 amazing volunteers prepared hot meals for over 100 of our homeless and marginally housed friends and neighbors at the Fort York Food Bank on College Street in downtown Toronto. A special thanks to Liz Compton and Shaffu Sharma of the Rotary Club of Toronto Leaside, the great folks at BioPed Toronto-North York, and Rotaract Toronto for helping on a day when several of our Rotary Club of Toronto Sunrise regulars were not able to be there. It is a wonderful adventure finding out when we arrive what food is available and creating a hot, nutritious meal from that, and this Sunday's team, and meal, was amazing. Thank you all!

97 hot meals out the door today at the Fort York Food Bank to appreciative lunch guests.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. We had volunteers from our club, from the Rotaract Club of York University, and people interested in joining our Rotary International movement plus FYFB volunteers.

Thanks to our cutlery donor (Shauna Harrison & family) and to St. John’s York Mills Anglican Church for the Hallowe’en treats!

This Saturday, we're walking in the Coldest Night of the Year in support of the Fort York Food Bank, a place close to our hearts and also to our hands one Sunday a month when we prepare 150 hot meals for those for whom a hot meal, or any meal, can be hard to come by.

The FYFB is the largest and busiest food bank in downtown Toronto. It serves over 5,500 people every week with groceries. An increase of over 1,000 from this time last year! It also serves 3,200 hot takeaway meals every month.

Thanks in advance!
