Corporate power shouldn't come before people or the planet.
The global economy is marked by deep inequalities. A small number of governments and corporations are responsible for most carbon emissions, while Indigenous communities and communities in low- and middle-income countries are disproportionately impacted by climate change and unsustainable debt.
KAIROS and the Canadian Network for Corporate Accountability (CNCA) are working together to advocate for debt justice, climate justice, and stronger corporate accountability.

Indigenous History Month Series: The North Direction
As we conclude our journey around the Medicine Wheel, we arrive in the North — a place of wisdom, reflection, gratitude and the teachings that come from a life well lived.
This week, we reflect on the teachings of Wolf, a guide who teaches us about family, community, leadership and collective responsibility. Wolf reminds us that we were never meant to walk alone and that true leadership is rooted in service, care and connection.
We also explore the sacred medicine Cedar, a medicine of protection, grounding and resilience. Cedar reminds us of our connection to the land, our ancestors and our responsibilities to future generations.
As we reflect on the North direction, we are invited to ask:
What wisdom have I gained through my experiences?
Who are the teachers, Elders and Knowledge Keepers who have shaped my journey?
How can I use what I have learned to support future generations?

Indigenous History Month Series: The West Direction
As we continue our journey around the Medicine Wheel, we enter the West — a direction of introspection, healing, transformation and the deep inward journey.
This week, we reflect on the teachings of Bear, a powerful symbol of courage, protection and healing. Through Bear medicine, we are reminded that strength is found in action, as well as in rest, reflection and emotional honesty.
We also explore the sacred medicine Sage, used for cleansing, purification and releasing what no longer serves us. Sage teaches us that healing often begins with letting go and creating space for renewal.
As we move through grief, uncertainty and change, these teachings invite us to pause and ask:
What am I being called to release?
What parts of myself need healing and care?
How can I honour rest, reflection and emotional truth?
