Awareness is the first step toward a lifetime of independence.

Identifying the early signs of Cerebral Palsy can be overwhelming, but early intervention is a game-changer. From monitoring muscle tone to tracking physical milestones, knowing what to look for allows families to access the support they need sooner.

At CP4CP, we see the reality behind the diagnosis. Many families find themselves in a "Grey Zone" where essential, life-changing equipment isn't fully covered by insurance.

How your decluttering helps: When you donate your gently used items, 100% of net proceeds stay in Ontario to fund vital resources and programs. You aren’t just clearing out a closet; you are providing the peace of mind that allows people to grow, move, and thrive.

Small steps in your wellness routine create a massive impact for our community. đź’›

Your closet is keeping a dirty secret.đźš«

Most of our modern "essentials", from your go-to polo to your favorite gym gear, are actually made of "spun plastic" like polyester, nylon, and acrylic. When these items are tossed in the trash, they don’t biodegrade. Instead, they fragment into microplastics that can leach into Ontario’s soil and Great Lakes for up to 200 years.

Be the solution, not the source.đź’™

At CP4CP, we give your "plastic" a second life. We divert 95% of donated textiles from landfills and convert them into the literal power of independence. 100% of our net proceeds stay right here in Ontario to fund specialized equipment and resources for individuals living with cerebral palsy.

For our community, the flu is more than just a rough week.

While a virus is a setback for anyone, people living with Cerebral Palsy face unique physical and immune challenges that turn common infections into serious risks. Reduced lung function and intense muscle fatigue mean the body has to work ten times harder to recover, increasing the risk of complications like pneumonia.

Stronger Immunity = A Safer Community. đź’›

Your wellness routine is a form of community care. We can all look out for each other with these simple steps:
• Sanitize & Wash: Clean hands and surfaces often to stop the spread.
• Stay Home: If you’re unwell, stay back and mask up if you must go out.
• Listen to Your Body: Prioritize hydration and recovery to keep your defenses strong.

If you’re feeling under the weather, please skip the trip to our center. You can still make an impact from home by scheduling a free no-contact house pick-up.

Meet Sofia. She is 4 years old, she is mobile, and she is a fighter.✨

But for children like Sofia, the system doesn’t always make things easy. Despite being mobile, she is often denied essential funding for equipment because she can walk a few steps. Sofia is already on her fourth pair of orthotics, yet standard insurance only covers one pair every three years.

This is the "Grey Zone" -- and your donations are the solution. đź’›

When Sofia’s family reached out, the OFCP stepped in to fund the gap for her specialized Ankle Foot Orthotics (AFO). As her mom, Andrea, says: "It gave us not only financial relief, but also peace of mind knowing Sofia could grow, move, and thrive".

100% of the net proceeds from your clothing and household donations fund the resources and equipment that empower people living with Cerebral Palsy across Ontario. Every bag you drop off helps us fund the next success story.
