We are Local 3697 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees: we are the employees who deliver HIV prevention programs and support services in six HIV/AIDS organizations based in Toronto. We are a composite union local, representing bargaining unit staff in six separate workplaces:
• African and Caribbean Council on HIV/AIDS in Ontario (ACCHO)
• Africans in Partnership Against AIDS (APAA)
• AIDS
Committee of Toronto (ACT)
• Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention (ASAAP)
• Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (BlackCAP)
• Toronto People With AIDS Foundation (PWA)
We are counsellors, case managers, community educators, health promoters, researchers, outreach and support workers, and the people who keep these community agencies working. We are committed to the health and well-being of the communities we belong to, and we work together to ensure that our organizations deliver high-quality services.
