On September 18, 2021, 1000 Lanterns were lit to commemorate the Aboriginal residential school children during the Mid-Autumn festival, the second most important Chinese festival. The lanterns were put together by high school and university's students and it carries the message of hope, and a new beginning of friendships for truth and reconciliation.
