Our CEO and Co-founder John Wiggins hosted members of the Caribbean Consular Corps - Consuls General Gerry Hopkin (Grenada), Kurt Davis (Jamaica), and Henry Mangal (Saint Lucia), courtside at a game earlier this week.

The game was more than a setting. It reflected the work itself. Basketball is how we show up, how we empower, and how we create opportunity for young athletes across the Caribbean.

And, bringing these leaders together in that space, allowed us to connect on how their offices can support and strengthen the work that FDF has already started in their respective countries, through our basketball camps.

We look forward to continuing this partnership, and building on this momentum, as we work together to scale our impact for the next generation.

FDF Co-Founder Tracy Wiggins spoke about the power of second chances, during a recent International Women’s Day panel on this year’s theme, 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗻.

For some of the young women and girls we serve across the Caribbean, the difference between dropping out and breaking through, is having someone who stays in their corner, and says “𝙆𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝙄’𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪.”

This , we’re recommitting to giving the gifts that change trajectories: 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳, 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆. 🏀

Because, the future we’re building depends on who we choose not to give up on.
