📣Calling all event planners, local book shops, libraries, and medical offices! 📣Reorganizing your space or de-cluttering? Nourish East End is looking to optimize its printed resource library and to update signage across the food bank to better serve our neighbours. We are in search of acrylic sign holders, as well as brochure organizers and display towers of all sizes.

Donations can be dropped off at 1470 Gerrard Street East on Mondays from 8:30am to 11am, and on Wednesdays, from 9am to 4pm.

On Saturday, May 16, our friends at will be hosting their Spring Thaw fundraising concert; a night filled with music from jazz/singer-songwriter artists such as .anderson.bowes , , , , , .kannangara , , and .west.drums. Net proceeds will be donated to the Nourish East End Food Bank. We thank them for their amazing support, and hope you will join us for a fun-filled evening!

Join us on Monday, April 27th for our free monthly Community Dinner! This month, our lovely team of volunteers will be cooking up and serving chicken or vegetable chow mein (halal option available) along with an Asian-inspired salad. The meal will be accompanied by freshly baked bread donated by Blue Seed, and tied-off by an array of delicious homemade desserts. Dinner will be served between 5pm and 6pm; doors open at 4:45pm.

Stick around after dinner for our Gab and Games social and resource event from 6pm to 7pm, in the glassed area at the back of the sanctuary hall. We will be playing cards and board games, and will be continuing our popular painting activity - including painting on bookmarks as requested by some of the kids in attendance last month.

On this , we express our endless gratitude to the more than 100 volunteers, who, through their dedication and hard work (both in person and behind the scenes), allow us to feed more than 700 of our neighbours every week, and host our monthly Community Dinners.

Receiving deliveries, portioning and repacking bulk food items, supplying printed materials, keeping our space clean, driving and picking up donations, building and maintaining storage facilities, providing accounting services, liaising with community groups, managing stock, researching client resources, fundraising, baking and cooking nutritious food, sourcing pet food and supplies, welcoming and serving our neighbours, assisting in the accessibility of our services... These are only a few of the many tasks that our wonderful volunteers undertake to keep us running smoothly; we really couldn't do it without them!

Thank you to the children, staff, and families of Bumble Bee Academy, Equinox Holistic Alternative School, and Kew Beach Junior Public School for their food drive and fundraiser efforts! Their contributions will allow us to offer a greater selection of food and personal care items to all of our neighbours.

We love being able to provide fresh produce options for our neighbours, and we love it even more when the produce is grown locally. This year, Nourish East End will once again be partnering with The Leslieville Farmers' Market . From Sunday, May 10th, to Sunday, October 25th, our volunteers will be on location at Greenwood Park to chat with visitors about food banks and food inequality, and to help divert food waste by collecting unsold produce from local vendors to distribute at our food bank on Wednesdays.

Want to help? We're looking for volunteer drivers to join our team! If you have access to a car, have a handful of free Sunday afternoons during the Farmers' Market season, and are able to lift up to 50lbs, this is the right fit for you!

This month, our friends at GECO (Gerrard East Community Organization, a coalition of east end businesses) will be sponsoring our dinner and preparing pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, and dessert (halal and vegetarian options will be available).

Looking to give back to your community? Have access to a car?
Nourish East End is looking for volunteer drivers to help collect and transport donated produce from our booth at The Leslieville Farmers' Market at the end of the market day.

📆When: Sundays, from May 10th to October 25th
📍Where: Leslieville Farmers' Market (Greenwood Park) and Nourish East End (1470 Gerrard St E.)
✅Requirements: Must be able to sign up for a minimum of 4 shifts, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs

On Saturday, March 7th, our friends at will be donating $2 from each 6-pack of hot cross buns that they sell directly to Nourish East End as part of their event.

Thank you to for all of their support throughout the years, and to you, our neighbours, for the in-store customer donations that have contributed to this fundraiser so far.

Visit the COBS Bread The Beach location at 1975 Queen Street East this Saturday between 7AM and 7PM to show your support and help them reach their goal of $4,500!

Collecting unused toiletries from various hotel visits? Still have a pile of free samples from your dentist? Want to support a healthy community? Help us provide our neighbours with more than just food! Nourish East End is accepting donations of toiletries such as: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, face wash, deodorant, toilet paper, adult diapers, menstrual pads, tampons, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, hand cream, lotion lip balm, and more!

Donations can be dropped off at 1470 Gerrard Street East, Mondays from 8:30am to 12pm, or Wednesdays from 9am to 4pm.
