Today, we celebrate and honour the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, father figures, and all the men who help shape our families and communities with love, strength, guidance, and support.

Fatherhood shows up in so many beautiful ways ... in the quiet sacrifices, the steady presence, the encouragement, the protection, and the unwavering love that helps others feel safe and supported.

At 100 Women Who Care Timmins & Area, we know strong communities are built through people who care deeply for others, and today we recognize the incredible impact fathers and father figures have in that story.

We at 100 Women Who Care Timmins & Area are excited to announce...📢

This past weekend on June 14th, our members gathered together for our 3rd quarterly meeting in 2026 at the Timmins Museum Exhibition Centre.

There the members placed their nominations. Three were randomly chosen for the members to vote on. The three that were voted on included:
Camp Bickell
North Rescues Timmins
Timmins Therapeutic Riding Stables
It is from this vote, the members then voted to see where 100% of this meetings donations would go.

Congratulations to our third recipient of 2026... Camp Bickell.

Camp Bickell has been in operation since 1939. It is a unique summer home where children from around the province, and beyond, come together to participate in a traditional outdoor camping, and learning, experience. This camp offers fun, adventure, and a true Northern Ontario outdoor experience. It is staffed by qualified professionals for children between the ages of 7 and 14. The Camp is equipped with 15 heated dorms, 5 staff cabins, a maintenance garage, a kitchen/dining hall, a camp infirmary, washroom & shower facilities, an arts & craft building, a tuck shop, and a beautiful 3,200 square foot lodge with a gorgeous stone fireplace.

Today We Gather to Make an Impact 🧡

Today is one of our favorite days.

This afternoon, for just one hour, women from across our community will come together for our quarterly meeting. One hour to connect. One hour to learn about local charities. One hour to make a difference.

Every person in the room is there for the same reason...to create positive change right here in our community.

It's a beautiful reminder that impact doesn't always require a huge commitment of time. Sometimes it simply starts with showing up, joining together, and being willing to care.

This afternoon, we'll hear about incredible local organizations, cast our votes, and collectively direct our donations where they can make a meaningful difference.

Every meeting is proof that when people come together with a shared purpose, amazing things can happen.

Here's to community, generosity, and the power of collective giving. 🧡
