Cochrane-Timiskaming Volunteer Resource Centre
The Cochrane-Timiskaming Volunteer Resource Centre (VRC) is a community resource operated by United Way Centraide North East Ontario (UWCNEO).

Its purpose is to strengthen volunteerism by connecting individuals who want to volunteer with organizations that need their time, skills and experience, while providing nonprofit and community organizations with resources to build effective, sustainable volunteer programs.

The VRC is more than a volunteer recruitment platform. It serves as a resource for organizations throughout the Cochrane-Timiskaming region, supporting the full volunteer engagement process, from identifying organizational needs to recruiting, managing, recognizing and retaining volunteers.

Starting from: 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲.

As frontline workers, community helpers, community leaders, and survivors impacted by residential schools and historical trauma, we understand that this day can be challenging. Often, the responsibility of organizing these events falls on us, our own people, while we continue to support our communities and navigate our own healing journeys.
This year, we want to bring the focus back to ourselves and one another.
We walk to heal. We walk to remember. We walk to honour our people and recognize the strength and resilience that continue to carry us forward.
We warmly invite all departments and staff to join us as we come together in remembrance, healing, unity, and hope.
