Hello Everyone,

Summer is just around the corner, and we have two fantastic community events coming up that simply wouldn't be possible without amazing volunteers like you!

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with:

📅 Annual Seniors Fair – June 4, 2026
A wonderful day dedicated to connecting seniors with resources, services, activities, and opportunities that support healthy and active living.

📅 Timmins Fire Truck Pull – June 18, 2026
One of our most exciting and fun fundraising events of the year! Teams come together to pull a fire truck while raising funds and awareness for important community programs.

Whether you can give a few hours or spend the day with us, your time and energy make a real difference. Volunteers help create welcoming experiences, keep events running smoothly, and bring the community together.

If you've ever thought about volunteering, this is a great opportunity to meet new people, have some fun, and support causes that make Timmins stronger.

Are you 50+ and looking for ways to stay active and connected to the community?

Save the date! Don’t miss the Timmins Senior’s Fair on Thursday, June 4. Hosted by the United Way Centraide North East Ontario/ Nord-est de l'Ontario.

The event is FREE for seniors to attend, with live entertainment and a healthy lunch.

June 4, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the McIntyre Community Centre. Bring a friend, meet new ones, and let’s make it a great day together!

As the Regional Programs and Volunteer Resources Lead at the Cochrane-Timiskaming Volunteer Resource Centre in Timmins via the United Way Centraide North East Ontario/Nord-est de l'Ontario (UWCNEO) I see directly how Volunteers positively impact our northern Ontario communities. Thank you all from day of event and program volunteers to board volunteers that I have had the pleasure to work alongside with and support. You are worth more than your weight in gold.

This April, we celebrate Volunteer Month! 🌟

While volunteers deserve recognition every day, this month is a special opportunity to honor those who give their time, effort, and heart to help others. Volunteers support, uplift, and guide people as they take steps toward new chapters in their lives.

At United Way, we know we wouldn’t be able to do what we do without our incredible volunteers. Some have been with us for years, and their impact is immeasurable.
