East Pictou Silver Blades

East Pictou Silver Blades East Pictou Silver blades is a Skate Canada club offering group and private instruction for beginner skaters to competitive Figure Skaters.

All sessions are held at the Ivor MacDonald Memorial Arena in Thorburn, NS. At our club, we offer several programs including Skate Canada's NEW (and IMPROVED!) Canskate program, and and Jr. / Sr. Program for our StarSkaters and Competitive Skaters. We also offer our Special Olympic program for skaters with special needs. nce 2014. This year, EPSB will be running the program which includes upbeat, fun music selections, teaching aids, and teaching circuits all design to focus on skating fundamentals (Agility, Balance and Control)! Our coaches and PA's have attended training sessions with a Skate Canada CanSkate specialist to ensure we are ready for our CanSkate season!

We are getting reports of extremely icy roads. Many helpers are not making it for canskate tonight. Please stay home, it’s not worth the risk. If you do arrive, coaches will still be there to run the session. But we advising against it.
