Youth Baseball Update: No House League this year.

Unfortunately we didn't have enough kids sign up to move forward with our house league. While we registered more than 34 kids we didn't have have enough players for more than one team in any particular age group.

There may still be an opportunity to form a travelling team for those registered players between the ages of 10-13. The cost of the traveling team would be $50 / player and we would likely be playing games in Oxford and Stellarton. We will plan on practicing on Mondays and/or Wednesdays but cannot be certain when games would be played.

Please let me know if you are interested in being part of a traveling team NO LATER THAN MONDAY MAY 22 so we can begin trying to schedule games.

We are still working with the Rec Centre to determine if there will be t-ball this year. We will let everyone know as soon as we have more info in the event you want to register your child for t-ball instead.

Boys and girls of all ages are welcome to register. Teams will be determined once registration is closed. We may have to limit participation based on how many players are registered in different age groups, but will do our best to ensure everyone has an opportunity to play.

Tatamagouche Co-Ed Youth Baseball Registration Open!

The 2023 baseball season is fast approaching and we are excited to get back to it!

This is our second year of managing a regional house league. In order to build on our success from last year we need to have enough players to field multiple teams. Additionally, we need to have enough players who are of a similar age to ensure safety and competition.

Quincy, Rick and I were all pleased with the outcomes last year as we fielded three teams made up of boys and girls aged 8-13. Playing with this wide range of ages was challenging, but we felt it was safe and fun while maintaining just about the right amount of competitiveness.

Please note, there is currently no age restriction. We are hoping we have enough interest to accommodate all interested players.

We expect the 2023 program to be similar to last year and are hoping to have four teams. There is also a chance we will field a traveling team but this will be dependent on registration, player interest, and our ability to get games in other communities.

Pizza Party Confirmed!

The pizza party is this Friday, September 9th, at Derados. The pizzas will be ready at 6:00PM. Don't be late or Quincy and I may eat all the pizza : )

PIZZA PARTY, PARADE, and PAYMENT

PIZZA PARTY: We would like to have a pizza party at Derado's for the kids next Friday, September 9th. Please let us know if your player will attend by Tuesday, September 6th. We need to let Habib know how much space we need reserved.

PARADE: We are still hoping to participate in the Labor Day Parade on Monday, but would love to have more kids join us. Please see the FB Event and let us know if you are interested in walking with us.

PAYMENT: I will be meeting with Brittany from the Rec Centre late next week to review the books. If you have yet to make your payment please do so by eTransferring $30 / player to [email protected]. Please contact Nick if you have questions or concerns about payment. As indicated, we have lots of folks who have offered to help out if needed : )

SCHEDULE: FINAL GAME TONIGHT!

Hello all. We are not going to have enough players to have a playoff this weekend so this evening's game will be the FINAL GAME of the season. There are a fair number of players unavailable so we are inviting ALL players to participate tonight!

Teams are as follows.

We are also planning an end of season pizza party or BBQ but have not finalized any specifics. We will share details as soon as we have them.

Schedule Update!

We will NOT be having a game this evening. The weather looks good, but we do not have enough players. We are going to move the game to Monday the 22nd. Teams are listed below.

Tuesday and Wednesday are supposed to be rainy days, but we will try to have a game between Quincy and Nick's team on Wednesday the 24th.

We would also like to squeeze in an end of the season tournament on Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th. Weather permitting, we would have one game on Friday night and a few games on Saturday. We will post more details about this next Wednesday. Please put this on your calendar and let us know you will NOT be able to make it.

Schedule Update:

NO GAME TONIGHT. The field is still too wet to play on today. There are large puddles and the center of the field is pretty mushy as well.

We may have a shot tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Please comment on this post if your player is available to play tomorrow (Friday) evening. The scheduled game is between Cecil/Ian and Nick's teams, but we can improvise and have a game so long as we have 16-18 players fully committed.

Hello All.

I apologize. I posted the following this morning and apparently it did not post.

Game Cancelled.

Unfortunately the weather is not cooperating and we are going to cancel the game tonight. We are going to try again tomorrow or Friday depending on the weather.

We will post tomorrow as soon as we know the weather and field conditions.
