These celebrations unite our community, highlight local businesses, and create cherished memories. The Sylvan Lake Christmas Village Association was officially established in 2024, but its heart and history trace back to 2017. It all began with the late Lorraine McGill, whose vision was to spread holiday cheer and foster a sense of community through the magic of Christmas. She dreamed of transform

ing the cold and dark Pier into a glowing festival of lights that would bring people together in celebration. Lorraine’s vision not only came to life but also flourished, making "Light Up Sylvan Lake" a beloved annual tradition that now draws visitors from far and wide. The Association honours Lorraine’s legacy by continuing to partner with the Town of Sylvan Lake to host this magical experience. Dedicated to bringing joy and connection to the community, they are always seeking to create new events that reflect their spirit and passion for the season. The hummingbird in the logo is to honour Lorraine McGill, as that was her favourite!
