What a night at Red Farm 🎷

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported us. You really made the whole night feel special. 💃

Big thanks as well to all of our musicians and vocalists. Everyone put a lot of time into rehearsals over the past few weeks, and it was so good to finally share all of that work with an audience. 🧑‍🎤

And of course, thank you to Red Farm - Sydney, Cape Breton Island for trusting us, supporting us, and giving us the chance to be part of such a great night. We really appreciate it. 🙇

I think everyone had a pretty good time that night. The band, the audience, the staff, and even the three flies and five mosquitoes in the room 🦟🪰😂

We had a blast, and we hope you did too.

This definitely won’t be the last one.

Tonight was our final rehearsal before Sunday’s performance, and you could really feel the excitement in the room.

There was a lot of music, laughter, and great energy at Red Farm tonight. Everyone seemed to be enjoying every minute of it, and after these past few weeks of rehearsals, we’re feeling ready.

Now we just have to wait for Sunday, and honestly, we can’t wait. 🎷

We’re really looking forward to sharing the music with everyone on August 23 at Red Farm. It’s going to be a wonderful night.

🎮 NEW MAP UNLOCKED: RED FARM! 🗺️

We had an awesome first rehearsal at Red Farm, and we couldn’t be more excited for our upcoming show on August 23!

This lineup is looking stacked—amazing musicians, incredible vocalists, and a great mix of classic big band tunes and jazz favorites. It’s shaping up to be a really special night.

A huge thank you to Red Farm for welcoming us into such a beautiful space. We can’t wait to fill the barn with big band sound!

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹 – 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁

Matthew Mulvihill has been dedicated to the trumpet since 2015, but has been involved in music for as long as he can remember. Raised in Albert Bridge, Nova Scotia, Canada, Matthew is in the Bachelor of Music program at Mount Allison University, New Brunswick, Canada, studying trumpet under Matthew Ross. He has performed with various national ensembles, including the National Youth Band of Canada and the Jack Long National Honour Band of Canada. He is currently the principal trumpet in the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra and the Mount Allison Symphonic Band, a member of the Capers Big Band, Mount Allison Jazz Ensemble, and has performed with the Tutta Musica Orchestra in New Brunswick. He has held the position of principal trumpet for the Nova Scotia Youth Wind Ensemble, Cape Breton Second Wind Community Band, and Cape Breton Orchestra in previous years.

Matthew has received a national gold medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Canada in trumpet, as well as gold medals in both trumpet and piano for Atlantic Canada. He is also a recipient of the Nova Scotia Talent Trust fund, and has been supported by Jeunesses Musicales Canada, both of which aid emerging artists from Nova Scotia and Canada in achieving excellence in their artistic journey. In addition, Matthew is a recipient of the Mount Allison University Marjorie Young Bell and Mary Emerancy Pickard Bell Scholarships.

Matthew hopes to continue his musical studies in trumpet performance after his undergraduate degree.

Last night was a real success, and we’re feeling very grateful today.

A huge thank you to all of our musicians for your hard work, heart, and commitment. Every person on that stage helped make the night special.♥️

Thank you Daniels Alehouse and Eatery for the support, the hospitality, and for giving us such a warm and welcoming place to play.

And thank you to every single audience member who came out and spent the evening with us. Your support, your energy, and your love for live music meant so much. 🎷🎵

We will keep going, and we hope to bring even more jazz, more joy, and more great nights to all of you. 🙇🏻
