💙 Help Us Save & Revive the Grubstake! 💙

The Multicultural Association of Cape Breton is raising funds to save and restore the historic Grubstake building in Louisbourg, NS. Located along Main Street, this beloved landmark holds deep community history—and we want to give it new life!

With your support, we can secure the building and transform it into a vibrant community hub -- a welcoming space for long time residents, newcomers and visitors to gather!

As a grassroots, volunteer-led organization, we are always working on ways to make Cape Breton a more welcoming, inclusive and thriving place like hosting the first ever Multicultural Market in CBRM MUCU Market and now The Whale House. This project is another step towards building a more stronger and connected community.

We did set up a Go Fund Me page for this cause and with your help, we can preserve history, support local businesses and foster community connections!

recap continues!

One of the main initiatives we did this year was the MUCU Market -- a weekly multicultural market featuring the diverse talents and offerings in our communities.

This year we did it at the Eltuek Arts Centre outdoor grounds and provided a safe and welcoming space for newcomers to share their talents on stage, their food in our international food hall, and share their creations as artisans to the wider community.

We are grateful for the community support for the MUCU Market -- as a sponsor, volunteer or event partner and we hope to continue to do it again next year!

We would like to thank you all for coming out and supporting our local farmers, artisans and independent businesses! Thank you for exploring our international food hall and watching our live and cultural performances! 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
