Embrace a Discarded Animal Society Embrace A Discarded Animal Society is dedicated to prevention of unwanted pets through spay and neuter and finding loving homes for the discarded.

We are a society who rescue and re home dogs and cats from over crowded shelters in the United States. Rescue – Embrace has been involved with the rescue, transport, and re homing of small breed dogs and cats from several shelters in the States. Prevention – All dogs and cats who are re homed will be spayed and neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed before adoption. Transportation – Tran

sportation of dogs and cats from very over populated high kill shelters in California or where needed to less populated areas will give these innocent lives a second chance. A second chance they very much deserve. Embrace a Discarded Animal Society will assist various rescue organizations with this as well as transport dogs and cats to re home here on our own. Social Media and Networking – We are very much involved with other rescue organizations and work closely together to save the lives of dogs where needed. We welcome correspondence with anyone who has the same passion for animals as we do. Education – We are very interested in trying to educate the public and the next generation of pet owners about the deplorable lack of care too many pets are still receiving at the hands of irresponsible
pet owners and shelters in North America.

Claire’s Story

Meet Claire a beautiful 15 month old spayed tabby who is looking for her forever home.

She once had a good home as she listens and understands commands but was found as a stray, this we do not know why.

She’s an independent girl who likes head rubs and playing fetch with little sponge balls. She’ll let you know when she’s had enough. She’ll be your guardian angel at night sleeping at the foot of your bed and nudge you with soft purrs in the morning. She is not a cuddle or lap cat but this may change as she gets older and understands that you’re now her forever human who loves her for who she is.

She bonds better with females, definitely needs her space so no other pets or children please. A quiet and nurturing home is required.

She does not do well in small confined spaces therefore is being fostered until the right fit comes along.

She’s a diva for sure - water out of the tap please! She has a a great appetite so food in moderation with lots of games of fetch to keep her healthy and active.
