🚨 Our Fraser Valley Crisis Line team attended the Career Fair at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) - Surrey Campus this past weekend.

It was a great opportunity to share with students, telling them more about who we are, the various programs we offer to clients, and job opportunities, including with the Crisis Line Volunteer Program.

🫶 We would like to thank all of our partners, supporters, and friends for joining us this past weekend for a beautiful event of fashion and fundraising for a cause that we care about deeply.

We need more affordable housing for Surrey residents, and we are thrilled to be planning our next affordable housing building in the Guilford community of Surrey, BC. 🏗️

Funds raised at this event will go directly to this build.

During yesterday's National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, our team participated in an Indigenous-led gathering, guided by Troy Derrick of the Gitxsan Nation

This included participating in a Community Smudging Ceremony.

We listened, we learned, and we honoured the many Indigenous children who did not return home.

Together, we will do our best and strive to do better, to consistently honour our Indigenous friends, peers, and community by learning as much as we can to better understand how we can be a part of the path towards reconciliation.

We thank Troy Derrick of the Gitxsan Nation for being with us yesterday.
