11 years ago I had an idea….

I wanted to put gifts out for kids of all ages on Christmas Eve.. It didn’t matter the family wealth, religious beliefs, cultural background… I wanted to just give back to our amazing community. I wanted to show that it just takes an idea, a loving heart and the bravery to do something that seemed crazy to make a difference in the world. Bring a little more compassion and love for one another .. but now I am beyond grateful to know my crazy idea is not only on its 11th year… but it has become other families Christmas Eve traditions 🥰🎄❤️
So tonight as you drive around winding the kids down for Santa’s big arrival as we did as children, and our children did as they grew up…. please add to the joy by stopping by at our 2 locations for an early Christmas gift 🎁 ( for mom and dad too.. and our dog, cat family members )

Happy weekend before Christmas everyone! We are excited to continue the tradition this year. 11 years for the Strathcona location and 10 years for the Strathaven location!

Christmas Eve starting at 5pm the trains will be filled with Christmas gifts for children of all ages and this year we are continuing with pet toys at one location and adult gifts as the other location. Last year we had a great response in both!

If your family is out and about looking at Christmas lights or getting ready for the holidays, please come by with the family and everyone can grab a gift to start out the festivities!! Merry Christmas from our families to yours!

We had another successful year 🎄127 gifts picked up and one location and 148 at our other 😁
We were also very successful at snagging some great gifts for next year during boxing week…. Exited for next years 🚂’s Thank you to everyone who shared posts and photos on different Strathmore groups, please feel free to post on here as well. 💕 love hearing stories of happy kids, parents and our furry friends.

Merry Christmas Strathmore!! The trains are now full and we are seeing smiling faces already!!! Please share this with anyone you know that would like to come by our houses for some Christmas cheer!!

At 12, 204 strathaven drive we had some donations for some toddle and child socks and gloves. We have placed them out front so anyone in need of a little warmth, be sure to help yourself to a pack as well.

Also, this year we have included mom and dad at 1204 strathcona road, there are gifts for all ages!!

12, 204 has fur baby gifts for the cats or dogs in your family. We did not wrap them as there are different size gifts for dogs and cats, please help yourself in finding the right gift for your fur babies!!

Lastly, in preparation of possible cold wet weather, we also put all of the gifts in ziplock bags at 12, 204 strathaven drive. We now have a bucket so if you no longer need the bags, please put them in the bucket and we can reuse them in future years!

The countdown is on for Santa’s big arrival!!!!
