Opening for the screening of Shining Light: A Vietnamese-Canadian Legacy

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘁?

𝗗𝗲𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗰 is a striking short film that explores the emotional pull of memory, perfection, and the stories we tell ourselves to reshape the past.

At its heart is a powerful mother–daughter dynamic, brought to life by Jenifer Villaverde, a Stratford resident and familiar face on the Stratford Festival stage, whose performance adds depth and authenticity to this intimate, beautifully crafted piece. (𝘥𝘪𝘳. 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘢 𝘕𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘴𝘤𝘢)

Includes an in-person appearance and interview with 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 Story Consultant and Producer Gary J. Smith, Producer Peter Raymont and Elizabeth Heatherington, who was involved in Operation Babylift.

Good evening po, we have an exciting event to share.

Asian Heritage Month Stratford kicks off on Friday, May 1st and we are so thrilled to be taking part in it!

JOIN US for the Asian Heritage Month Stratford Opening Event on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 7-8:30pm in the Stratford Agriplex Hall (353 McCarthy Rd)

We have a special Tinikling dance performance by members of FCC, as well as other performances from our Asian communities here in Stratford. And of course, one of the hosts is our very own Snow Pinoy!
