A huge thank you once again to Barry Fordham of Sharing The Harvest NLfor his continued generosity and support of Connections for Seniors!

Barry recently donated a wonderful supply of fresh cod and blueberries to help support the seniors we serve through our Food Security Program.

Donations like these mean a great deal to our organization and, most importantly, to the seniors receiving them. Fresh, locally sourced food is always greatly appreciated and helps us provide a little something extra alongside our regular food supports.

Barry, thank you for continuing to be a pillar of our emergency food pantry and for sharing Newfoundland’s bounty with our community. Your kindness and generosity are sincerely appreciated by all of us at Connections for Seniors.

🚐 VOLUNTEER VAN DRIVERS NEEDED

Connections for Seniors is looking for reliable volunteer drivers to help support our Food Security Program.

Volunteer van drivers help pick up food hampers from local food banks and bring them back to Connections for Seniors so they can be delivered to older adults in our community.

Volunteer Shifts:
Tuesday–Friday
9:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to make a direct difference in the lives of seniors while helping us keep an essential community program moving.

Newcomer Seniors YMCA Wellness Discovery

Join us on September 9 for a welcoming afternoon at the YMCA, specially designed for newcomer seniors! 🌟

✨ We’ll meet at 12:00 p.m. for a tour of the facility, an introduction to YMCA newcomer services, and refreshments.

Then, at 1:15 p.m., participants can join a Functional Fitness class — a gentle and accessible way to stay active, connect with others, and discover what the YMCA has to offer.
