166 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Fort Townshend

166 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Fort Townshend Fort Townshend offers unique experiences such as sailing, biathlon, orienteering, marksmanship, international exchanges and naval deployments.

We have opportunities for youth aged 12-18 to have fun, meet new friends and experience the world for FREE. The cadet program is unlike any other youth organization; youth aged 12 to 18 have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, make lifelong friends and even travel the world. Through commitment, dedication and hard work, our sea cadets dive into hands-on learning in areas such as sailing, mark

smanship, music, naval knowledge and leadership. We would love to share our unique cadet experience with you so please feel free to send us a message to see what Fort Townshend has for you.

There were so many smiling faces on the deck this past Tuesday, meaning our CO's parade was a major success. ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿ’ชWe were very proud to award Cadet Fitness Incentive levels in several areas; bronze, silver, and gold!

๐Ÿ†We are also happy to recognize MC Femi-Aryee and PO2 O'Neill as our Junior and Senior Cadets of the Month for their continued dedication, positive attitudes, and strong performance.

๐Ÿฅ‡Our senior cadets received their newly mounted medals and are looking sharp!

๐Ÿ‘‹And finally, we officially said goodbye to a long-standing member of our corps who has aged out of the program. It is always sad to see cadets age out, but we know you will do great things! Fair winds and following seas!

Back in October, two groups of our cadets participated in Canadian Armed Forces familiarization activities. Split between two different training sites, our cadets experienced on the water training, and offshore survival training alongside other cadets in our area. This provided all in attendance with a unique opportunity to learn useful skills. It was an experience they will remember for a lifetime.
Thank you to all of the staff and senior cadets who made this training day run smoothly!

๐ŸŽฏ On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the cadets of 166 RCSCC Fort Townshend finished off the year with a bang โ€” or should we say, a laser!

Cadets teamed up with friends for an epic round of laser tag as their final event of the training year. Laughter, strategy, and plenty of friendly competition filled the night โ€” capped off with copious amounts of pizza, of course! ๐Ÿ•

A huge thank you to everyone who made this year memorable. Best of luck to all cadets heading off to summer training camps โ€” we canโ€™t wait to hear your stories when we see you again in September!
