◘ Canadian Parents for French Newfoundland and Labrador (CPF NL) is seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of French Second Language (FSL) education across our province.
◘ For more than four decades, Canadian Parents for French has been a national network dedicated to creating and promoting opportunities for young Canadians to learn and use French. Through advocacy, resources, programs, and community engagement, CPF works to ensure that all learners have access to quality French-language learning opportunities.
◘ As a volunteer Board Director, you will play an important leadership role in supporting our mission and strengthening the voice of families, educators, and communities who value bilingualism and French-language education. Board members contribute their skills, perspectives, and enthusiasm to guide the strategic direction of CPF NL and support initiatives that make a meaningful difference for learners throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
We are seeking individuals who:
✅Are passionate about education, bilingualism, and youth opportunities.
✅Believe in the value of learning French as a second language.
✅Bring professional, volunteer, community, governance, or leadership experience.
✅Are committed to supporting the growth and sustainability of CPF NL.
✅Represent the diversity of communities across Newfoundland and Labrador.
◘ Previous board experience is welcome but not required. We encourage applications from parents, educators, post-secondary students, professionals, retirees, and community leaders who are interested in advancing French-language learning opportunities throughout the province.
