Special shout out to our buddy Rej who put in a whole lot of hours this winter! We appreciate your dedication to our rink!

Our arena was busier then its ever been! We welcomed our own, Red River Wild Minor & Senior teams and Mudbugs, along with Altona Minor Hockey, Rat River Minor Hockey, PV Twisters, St Malo Warriors and Eastman Minor Hockey for regular practices and some games.

We had so many nice compliments about our facility and we thank everyone who has made our fundraisers a success to keep our building looking 👌🏻!

🏒 Game Day is Here!

The 9th Annual Pre-Seed Shinny Round-up is happening today at the Lavallee Gravel Arena in St. Jean! Farmers, suppliers, and ag industry friends are coming together for a great day of shinny hockey — all in support of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba .

This event is a great way to connect before the busy seeding season while raising funds for an incredible cause that supports children and families across Manitoba.

Good luck to all the players hitting the ice today, and a big thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters who help make this event possible. Let’s have a great day of hockey and community support! 🏒

Mark your calendars! March 26, 2026 is the Pre-Seed Shinny Round-up. Steak dinner will be held after the event and tickets can be purchased at the St. Jean Co-Op gas bar or at the arena. $15 a dinner ticket with donations being accepted. There will be hockey, beer gardens, silent auction and also an online auction with tons of awesome prizes to be won. See you there!
