The intent of "No to LNG -Squamish" is to allow people to raise and debate their concerns about the proposed Woodfibre LNG plant in Squamish and the wider political issues that concern Canadians. The intent of "No to LNG -Squamish" is to allow people to raise and debate their concerns, as well as post news articles explaining the environmental impact of a proposed Woodfibre LNG plant in Squamish.

The LNG plant can't be discussed without seeing it in the context of our addiction to oil/gas/coal, and its destructive impact on the environment. LNG, and our broader addiction to fossil fuels, is certainly as much a political issue as it is scientific and economic. So we will also critically discuss the political actions of our leaders - especially their usual failure to take climate change seriously. The fantastic news is that there are amazing technological innovations surrounding alternative sustainable energy alternatives. I'd appreciate it if you can pass the site along. Even though this one is about Squamish, it's really about all of us.
