We often hear these phrases in yoga spaces : “The rising of kundalini energy”, “the unblocking of chakras”, “the healing of the body” — the journey to the intended goal is the same: to transform, (I will touch upon this more in posts to arrive). The honest truth is that :

I am often contacted with questions regarding weight loss through Yoga.
Q:Can it happen?
A:Yes! Why not!? However it is not its intended purpose.

These calls are fair. In a world that has subjected us to idealized body types for acceptance into categories of “healthy” “fit” vs. “Unhealthy” and “lazy”— people (all of us at one point) have felt the pressures to belong to the former rather than the latter category.
I hope to change that with Yoga.
Yoga is a practice on harmonizing, balancing, and healing the BODY, & the MIND (from aforementioned distresses) & the SOUL (because it’s too much to carry!).
So, in short : If I have guided you through a yoga class, you would inevitably heard me say “where your attention goes your energy will flow.”

The intention (or tone - more on this later) with which we enact/initiate movement carries as a ripple, a vibration through the body, the muscle fibres, connective tissues, and energetically through the chakras. “Paying attention to where and how you direct your energy is crucial for the body to soften, extend, expand…mmmmm”
