Our drumming and singing circle was super fun last night with Allie Picketts joining us to bring a her childrens sing along songs and instruments to Community Night. She will be back August 13th for another fun childrens circle.

Who doesn't love a nice bowl of spaghetti on a stormy day? 🍝

There will be GF and regular pasta + beef and no meat sauce to suite you the way you like it!

We host this amazing community led dinner every Thursday from 5 to 6:30. It is completely set up and run by the volunteers and community members who are present.

You bring the sides:

Some low pressure ideas are bread, salads, veggies, fruit, and deserts

📣Special circle for July 16th!

We will welcome local musician and music teacher Allie Picketts from The Music Room to share children's sing along songs for the first 30 minutes of our session and then we will move into our regular drumming circle.

SHIFT hosts a drumming & singing circle every Thursday at 7p.m.

We want to give a BIG thanks to the Sooke Lions Club for donating these 2 large coolers for our bi-weekly non-profit grocery program. We will use these coolers to keep the cold chain intact and our food safe during transport and distribution of our grocery program food.

Hello community!

This Wednesday is the SHIFT grocery program order day. 10am is the deadline for orders to be emailed in to [email protected] and paid for by etransfer.

Also our friends at Davidson Farm have free tomato plants to give out. Who wants some? I am making a list and they will be delivered on Thursday as well.

Heartwood is a wonderful blend of homeschooling and community learning for K–9 students. Children spend most of their learning time with their families while also enjoying weekly opportunities to learn, explore, and connect with other families through their supportive teachers and outdoor learning experiences. It is a place where curiosity is celebrated and learning feels meaningful. Heartwood has been an incredible support to our family, and the annual Heartwood Festival is a chance to celebrate the amazing children, families, teachers, and community that make it so special.
