On Wednesday we had the honour of attending the Hagersville and District Chamber of Commerce 14th Annual Awards & Volunteer Recognition Night, hosted at the Legion and MC’d by Chamber President Rob Phillips. Our Haldimand Regional Program Manager Chantel accepted a certificate acknowledging our contributions to our community - and we would like to pass those accolades on to the army of volunteers we have working alongside us every single day to deliver our programs and services.

Fun fact: Rob helped us with the purchase of one of our vans at his dealership Heaslip Ford- and his lovely wife’s Rotary Club donated a significant amount towards it as their final act of giving before disbanding! It was nice to chat and catch up with her before dinner began.

Dinner was delicious and was fittingly served by young volunteers who attend Hagersville Secondary School and are a part of their Crimestoppers program.

It was a lovely evening, we learned all about the many things the Chamber does to contribute to the local community, and local businesses who sponsor not only this dinner but so many other things in the community. And we heard about the contributions of the Oliver Sayer Memorial Junior Citizen of the Year Aiden Greenwood; as well as the tremendous efforts by the Bill Courtnage Memorial Citizens of the Year Nancy Snyder and Lisa Mattice.
