Have you checked out the Silvery Slocan Museum display at the Silverton General Store? It’s filled with some fantastic pieces, showcasing the history of the area. Be sure to have a look next time you are at the General Store.

We had a great SCC meeting this afternoon. Thank you to all that attended and to the Village Office for all the great insight and information. Welcome back Peter 😊

On a personal note 🌻
I find these meetings very informative and I am continually amazed by what I learn about our amazing community and the ways we can make it better and give back.

The SCC AGM will be happening in October and I encourage you to join us. Stay tuned for more info.

The Silverton Community Club recently met with Amanda Murphy, the representative from the Columbia Basin Trust, to discuss possible grants and funding opportunities for community projects, including ideas for celebrating Silverton’s 125th anniversary.

We would like to invite members of the community to attend a short meeting and share their ideas and input. Depending on what we decide to do, there may be grant deadlines we need to meet, so it is important that we begin planning soon.

The meeting will be held on:
Thursday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m.
at the Silverton curling club.
If the weather is nice, we will meet at the bocce courts instead.

Everyone is welcome.
We hope you can join us and help make Silverton’s 125th anniversary something special.

Regards,
Darril Beninger
SCC President
