Memory of Sydni Marie MacKinnon

Today we remember Sydni Marie MacKinnon, a beautiful young woman whose kindness, compassion, and bright spirit touched so many lives. As a BNs nurse, daughter, sister, partner, friend, and coworker, she dedicated herself to caring for others and brought warmth and light wherever she went. She was remembered by loved ones for her infectious smile, caring heart, and the love she shared with family, friends, colleagues, and patients.

Our hearts are with Sydni’s family, friends, coworkers, and all who loved her. May they find comfort in their memories and in the support of those around them during this difficult time.

As we honour Sydni’s life, we are reminded that behind every smile there may be struggles we cannot see. Let us continue to reach out, listen, support one another, and help create a community where no one feels alone.

May Sydni’s light continue to shine through the lives she touched. 💜🩵

For generations, men have been told to hide their emotions and “tough it out.” That pressure to appear strong has left too many struggling in silence.

But real strength isn’t silence—it’s connection.

This Men’s Mental Health Month, we’re sharing simple, practical ways to check in on the men in your life and help create spaces where it feels safe to talk, open up, and reach out for support

June is Men’s Mental Health Month.

Too many men are taught to stay quiet.
To “man up.”
To carry it alone.

That silence is costing lives.

Strength isn’t pretending you’re okay.
Strength is being honest.
Strength is reaching out.
Strength is asking for help.

You’re not weak for struggling.
You’re human.

Let’s change what we tell men - and what men tell themselves.
