FYI, we have postponed our celebration night that was to be this Saturday in Calgary. Sometimes you try things and they don't work out for different reasons, but we will try again down the road!

Are you in the greater Calgary region and want to learn more about what has been happening in the area through our Athletes in Action camps and clubs? Join us September 27th from 6-8pm at Bonavista Church in Calgary for our 2025 celebration night and dessert auction.

Come hear stories from our coaches, partners and staff about how God has been working and what is coming in the future.

Action Calgary Region Summer Celebration!

When: Saturday Sept 27, 2025 6-8PM

Who: All are welcome!

Everyone is welcome to attend a night celebrating a great summer of Action Camps in the Calgary region. Come hear stories from coaches, campers and partners of how lives were changed through our camp programs in central and southern Alberta. We will also be sharing our vision for the future of the ministry in the Calgary area.

There will be a dessert auction, with lots of options to choose from. All l proceeds go towards our 2026 camps and clubs programs in the greater Calgary area.

Camp Update!

In the first two weeks of July we ran soccer camps in Edmonton (Steele Heights Baptist Church)and Fort Mcleod (House of Prayer Church), as well as a sport fundamentals camp in St Albert (Win Together Canada). 146 kids have participated in these camps, developing skills applicable to faith, life and sport.

This week we have three camps running: Southern Alberta Bible Camp volleyball, Bethel Church Lacombe soccer and Crossfield Baptist soccer, with another 139 kids attending.

Next week we have three more camps: Cochrane Alliance soccer, AIA Edmonton basketball and Rivers Edge overnight volleyball camp in Cremona. We still have room in the volleyball and basketball camps if you're looking for something for your kids, so go to aia.sh/alberta for more info or to register!

Looking for some help from our Calgary/Vulcan area friends!

We are still in need of of someone willing to transport our AIA BC volleyball coaches from the Calgary airport to Southern Alberta Bible Camp by Lomond tomorrow Sunday July 13th. Will need to be picked up at 12:45pm, there will be four coaches and their luggage/equipment so will need at least an suv or minivan and we can cover fuel. Please let me know asap if you can help us out. Thanks!

It's been a while since I gave any camp updates so I will do a couple posts so they are more to the point 😆

Update 1: Alberta coaches training

We met as an Alberta coaching team June 23-26th at Prairie College in Three Hills to prepare for our summer camp season. This was the first time we had been together as a team and it was exciting to see the coaches connect and start bonding in such a short period of time.
We spent our time training in our AIA Total Athlete and Coaching 4 Life philosophies, onfield skills and game instruction, More Than A Game small group prep, prayer and having some fun together.

We have a talented crew this summer ready to serve across the province!
