We’re inviting volunteers to join us this Sunday, April 12, for a hands-on opportunity to support our community. We’ll be sorting and packing donations from our winter initiatives, including the Food Donation Boxes Initiative.

🌽 Supporting Communities Via Our Food Purchasing Program

Through our Food Purchasing Program, Rising Sun Food Drive Foundation works with local food banks to respond to specific community needs. By purchasing food at wholesale prices, we are able to maximize the value of every dollar and ensure essential items reach families who need them most.

Between 2022 and 2024, RSFDF sourced over 3,000 pounds of food, valued at $2,000, helping support 249 households through our partner food programs.

Food banks often face shortages of important items such as baby food, meat products, hygiene supplies, and pet food. By working closely with partner organizations, we are able to help bridge these critical gaps and strengthen access to food for families.

Thank you to our volunteers, donors, and community partners who make programs like this possible. Together, we continue working toward a stronger, more food-secure community.
