Great Legacy Begins with a Vision.

This is where our story began...

One year ago, a dedicated group of passionate individuals came together with a shared vision—to establish a Lions Club that would make a lasting difference in the Scarborough community.

Today, as we celebrate our journey, we proudly honour the Charter Members and Founder Leaders whose commitment, leadership, and unwavering belief laid the foundation for what has become the Lions Club of Scarborough.

Their collective efforts have transformed a vision into a thriving club built on:

Meaningful humanitarian service
Strong community partnerships
Sustainable membership growth
Leadership development

With immense pride and heartfelt congratulations, the Lions Club of Scarborough celebrates a truly special milestone in the Lionistic journey of Lion Chandima Binduhewa.

We are honoured that District Governor Lion Verona Payne presented Lion Chandima Binduhewa with a Recognition Award and Certificate in appreciation of his 26 years of dedicated membership and his outstanding contribution to the Lions movement.

For more than two decades, Lion Chandima has exemplified the true spirit of "We Serve" through his unwavering commitment, exceptional leadership, dedicated mentorship, and selfless service to the community. His passion for Lionism continues to inspire members both within our club and throughout the district.

This well-deserved recognition is not only a proud personal achievement but also a proud moment for the Lions Club of Scarborough, as we celebrate one of our own being honoured for a lifetime of service and commitment.

A MEMORABLE EVENING... A MILESTONE TO CHERISH!

The Lions Club of Scarborough proudly celebrated its 1st Charter Anniversary in grand style, marking an incredible year of service, leadership, fellowship, and community impact.

Our Charter Celebration was more than an anniversary—it was a celebration of the remarkable journey we have shared together. Over the past year, our club has successfully delivered meaningful humanitarian service projects, organized impactful fundraising initiatives, promoted leadership development, and experienced outstanding membership growth, all while remaining committed to the Lions motto, "We Serve."

One of the highlights of the evening was the recognition of our Charter Members and Founding Members, whose vision, dedication, and commitment laid the foundation for the success and continued growth of the Lions Club of Scarborough. We honour and thank each of them for believing in our mission and helping shape a club that is making a positive difference in our community.

We were deeply honoured by the presence of our Chief Guest, District Governor Lion Verona Payne, together with the Vice District Governors, distinguished Cabinet Leaders, Past District Governors, Region and Zone Chairpersons, visiting Lions, sponsors, business professionals, friends, and well-wishers. Your presence brought great prestige to this milestone celebration and inspired us as we look forward to another year of meaningful service.

Beyond the formal proceedings, the evening was filled with warm fellowship, valuable networking opportunities, laughter, live entertainment, and lasting friendships. It was wonderful to see Lions and guests from across the District come together to celebrate our achievements and strengthen the bonds that unite us through service.

To everyone who attended, supported, sponsored, volunteered, and contributed to making this celebration such a memorable success—thank you. Your encouragement continues to inspire us to serve with greater passion and purpose.
As we begin our second year, we remain committed to expanding our impact, growing our membership, developing future leaders, and continuing to serve the Scarborough community with pride.
