This July, it comes to Montréal.

After Montréal in 2026, the next ISME World Conference will be held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2028.

Music Monday was celebrated in Winnipeg with an inspiring performance of *Hold On* by Triumph from the Retro Music Collective 🎶

While Music Monday is often associated with schools and students, it's really a celebration of music for everyone. From young learners to lifelong musicians, communities across Canada come together to share the power of music and connection.

This performance is a great reminder that music brings people together, builds community, and creates moments worth celebrating.

On Music Monday we brought 80 student performers to Hugh’s Room for our live streamed concert!

The Chandy’s from Caledon East Public School were incredible and blew the roof off the place! (Their cover of Freedom by Rage Against the Machine is 🔥🔥)

After Music Monday we got this band into Metalworks Studios to record through our SoundStart program partnership with Metalworks.

We are always so pleased to provide these incredible learning opportunities for music students.

The Coalition for Music Education is looking for passionate, community-minded leaders to join our Board of Directors!

For more than 30 years, we’ve championed the power of music education through advocacy, research, and national programs like Music Monday, Ancestors Voices, The Tune-Up Student Songwriting Contest, and MusicNext. In 2025 alone, nearly 300,000 students participated in our programs — and our impact continues to grow.

We’re seeking diverse voices from across Canada who believe every child deserves access to quality music education.

Priority will be given to applicants from:
📍 British Columbia
📍 Saskatchewan
📍 Yukon & NWT
📍 Nova Scotia
📍 New Brunswick

We’re especially interested in individuals with experience or passion in:
✨ Music Education
✨ Music Industry / Performing
✨ Fundraising & Sponsorship

Board term begins June 2026
Meetings held virtually (up to 8 times/year)
