The Center for Peace Canada is honoured to welcome Mr. Roshan Shajehan, Senior Program Manager – Maldives Programs at The Asia Foundation, as a selected Global Peace Fellowship Holder.

As we mark the 2nd Anniversary of the Center for Peace Canada on September 21 – International Day of Peace, we are delighted to welcome Mr. Roshan for a one-week Peace Visit to Canada.

His visa has been approved, and we warmly welcome him to Canada for a week of meaningful dialogue, friendship, learning, and peace-building. The Center for Peace Canada extends our sincere thanks to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for facilitating the visa process and to The Asia Foundation for its continued commitment to global peace, development, and community engagement.

Center for Peace Canada provides legal guidance and community integration resources for refugees across Canada, with a particular focus on South Asian communities and multilingual support.

Our Scarborough Open Session, sponsored by Gautam Law Team and Pathiraja Law Team, provided an important opportunity for refugees and newcomers to access valuable legal information, guidance, and community resources.

More than 500 people attended and benefited from legal guidance and essential information about their rights and settlement pathways.

Together, we continue working toward a more informed, empowered, and inclusive refugee community across Canada.
